The Expungement Initiative subcommittee of SPEAR was formed in response to the decriminalization of Marijuana in the State of New Jersey on July 1st, 2021. We work to share information about New Jersey Marijuana Law by navigating legal records and streamlining the expungement process. By clarifying the information and communicating it clearly through various outreach methods, the Expungement Initiative aims to mitigate the effects of the War on Drugs.
